Gracie Latkovski is 10 years old. She uses a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy and cystic fibrosis. Despite her illness, the smile on her face and the spirit in her eyes proves that anything is possible.

In the video below, Gracie and her older sister Quincy take the stage at the 2013 WHAS Crusade for Children telethon, dancing to “Reflections” sung by Jackie Evancho. The song’s lyrics and choreography are simply perfect — the way the mirror symbolizes how they connect as one and see themselves through the other. Rather than use an elaborate setup and fancy props, the soul sisters from Shepherdsville, KY found a way to incorporate Gracie’s wheelchair and their incredible bond into their routine. This performance won them the first place prize at the JAMfest Super Nationals.

This is what family and friendship is all about. We’ve seen siblings bond like this before, and in the face of cerebral palsy.
