What other language can Minions speak except their language that’s mainly just jumbled letters and weird yet adorable noises?

We’re not writing about it if it’s English because let’s face it, it’s such a universal language. Don’t be shocked when your dog starts speaking in English because it will surely happen anytime soon.

So back to the Minions, they actually spoke in Filipino! Yes! Pinoy Pride!

Netizens went crazy after the minions from the hit movies Despicable Me 1 and 2 spoke the words “Narito na” (It’s here) and “ikot” (turn) in a viral video.

But to be honest, the minions were actually speaking so fast and with tongue-twisting jumbled letters, or just gibberish that everyone around the globe claimed that the minions were really speaking their language.

Don’t get too disappointed because John Cohen, a producer of the movie, confirmed that they actually speak Filipino.

“Minions use a bit of Spanish, English, French, Greek, Korean, Japanese and even Filipino. You hear all kinds of languages because incorporated into the way they speak.”

So that says it.

Next year, the minions are getting their own movie (finally!).

They actually speak Filipino, as seen on the trailer that was released.

“Tara, tropa!” (Come, friends!) were one of the lines used for the movie. Watch the video below and let us know what you think. brings you the all new and exclusive gigs for the Filipino Community. Check it out and “like” us on Facebook to get the latest updates.
