Since the release of Apple Inc.’s iPad, many deemed to follow the tech giant’s footsteps and began making their own touchscreen PCs. It even brought the current android vs IOS rivalry which somehow made the tablet computing market more interesting. This challenged the IT industry to come up with a design that is more appealing to the techno-crazed world.
With so many products and brands in the market, it becomes harder for the consumers to choose which one to buy. The price and features may be the common factors affecting the decision but sometimes size does matter.
Tablet sizes (diagonal screen size) ranges from 7″ – 10″. Anything that goes beyond the 7″ size is already regarded as a phablet (phone-tablet). Most people like the 7-incher profile because of its privacy and slip-in-the-bag feature. But others prefer the large sized 10-inch screen which more often than not caters to most gamers and movie aficionados. The weight and bulk makes you think twice. The 8-9 inch tablet sizes are getting a lot of attention lately because of their mid-sized screen span, emphasizing an almost perfect size-to-weight ratio. Not to mention the right battery capacity to keep it running for an ample time where most current tablets fall short.
If you ask me, there is no such thing as optimal tablet size. It all adds up to your own preference and needs. Different people have different needs ;D
