Diablo 3: Epic RPG finally unleashed

courtesy of shacknews.comI am one of those PC gamers who had eventually got their hands on the first of the two installments of Blizzard’s Diablo (video game) series. The game style, storyline and the epic adventure of fighting off evil and dungeon crawling, not to mention employing your own choice of character have made a multitude of newbie and seasoned gamers expect another great game from Blizzard.

Blizzard has become famous for the development of two other game franchises: Warcraft and Starcraft. As always, Blizzard has successfully tempted gamers in acquiring their games. It has been a long wait for every Blizzard fan for the final release of this controversial PC game in the market.

Diablo 3 officially had its worldwide release on the 15th of May which up until now the sales of this software is expected to reach sky high. The game is very much different from its predecessors, in a way that Blizzard has finally made preparations as to lower the chances of having the game illegally distributed in the global market. Diablo 3 requires a battle.net account and a valid software ID for you to activate and play the game. The only way you can get one is to either purchase a copy of the said software. I believe it’s similar to Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty.

Other than promising a thrilling ride back to where we left off from Diablo 2, Diablo 3 will showcase an enhanced game play far different from the regular RPG (role playing games) in the market. Not to mention the jaw dropping cut scenes as you progress throughout the game – one feature that most Diablo players got enticed to play this video game. And since it is considered an online game, patches and updates are automatically available to game owners once they logged in to the Battle.net server.

Diablo 3 is currently available in Standard Edition (SE) and Collector’s Edition. You can buy it from locally accredited retailers or digitally purchase and download from Blizzard for more or less USD 70.00 (roughly PhP 2,700 – 3,000). Yeah, I know it is a bit pricey but what the heck!?

Currently, copies of the game are running out due to increased quantity of orders particularly here in the Philippines. Just proves how many Filipinos are avid fans of the Diablo series. My best bet is to procure one directly from Blizzard, though some say their download servers are also too busy providing copies of the game.

Diablo 3 is one game software worth the purchase rather than illicitly obtaining a copy from the internet. Just to give credit to the people who worked hard to bring another best game in the market.
