After his goodbye to ABS-CBN noon time show Wowowee Robin Padilla was replaced by the kanto boys Luis Manzano, John Lloyd Cruz and Billy Crawford, to be the temporary host of the show but criticisms arises, they are being compared to Mr. Padilla on how they will hand the show.
In an interview to Robin, he said that people should not compare him to the kanto boys for they have different styles in hosting the show and entertaining people. “Ako ay matanda, ang mga ‚ÄòKanto Boys‚Äò ay mga bata. Talagang magkaiba po ‘yon. Kaya kung ikukumpara nila ang ‘Kanto Boys’ sa akin ay huwag po sana dahil magkaiba po talaga kami ng style,” Padilla said.
Robin hosted the show for two weeks and like the kanto boys he was also criticized but this is not the reason why he leaves the show, He said that he is preparing for his 2 movies. He is open to host the show permanently but he said he wanted a clear talk about it from the management.
“Ayoko lang po kasi na masabi ng tao na ako po ay nang-agaw. Gusto ko lang po talaga ay isang malinaw na usapan,” Padilla said. But one upon his leave he said that he missed the show specially the female hosts of the show. Padilla, who is being romantically linked to Rodriguez, said he is in no position to comment on the issue. He also hoped that Rodriguez and Marudo would be able to iron things out.

After two weeks of being the host of the noon time show Wowowee, Robin Padilla the “Idol” say goodbye to the fans of the show and to his co-host.
“Isang napakalaking karangalan po ang maging bahagi ng Wowowee. Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa ABS-CBN, sa staff, maraming salamat sa inyo. Sa mga dancers, musicians, technicians, sa guards, sa ating crowd control, at siyempre po sa inyong lahat,” Padilla said.
“Hindi ko po makakalimutan sa buong buhay ko ang mga naganap sa entabladong ito–kalungkutan kasayahan, kagalingan. Lahat lahat po nandito sa puso ko. Naging iisang tunay na pamilya po tayo,” he added.
“Tuwing lumalabas po ako (dito), hindi po ako host, hindi ako isang singer, hindi ako isang dancer. Isa akong Pilipinong kalatulad niyo, ‘Robin Hood’ po ang pangalan.”
With is short stint help, the Wowowee’s ratings boost, and despite of the criticisms of some people to him as a host, Robin prove he got what it takes to be the Idol.

After the absece of the host Willie Revillame in his show Wowowee, people expect an explaination from his long silence. And as a replacement in his absence Actor Robin Padilla becomes the host for the mean time. Robin still wished that willie will come back even he sent a letter to ABS-CBN executives asking them to release him as talent and host of Wowowee. Robin Padilla to Replace Willie Revillame in Wowowee?

The speculation of whether Robin Padilla will replace Willie in Wowowee ended yesterday when the top-rating noontime show finally revealed action star Robin Padilla as its “Idol” host on Saturday. Robin was warmly welcomed by his co-hosts Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Carmen Soo, Kelly Misa, Isabelle Abiera and Jed Montero, and Wowowee studio audience.
“Maraming, maraming salamat po sa ating mga kababayan. Hindi ko naiintindihan ang Twitter. Ang alam ko lang si Tweety [cartoon character]. Maraming salamat po sa suporta,‚Äù said Padilla.
Padilla humbly added that he is just filling the gap in the absence of Willie Revillame, the host of Wowowee.
“Tayo po sa panahong ito ay nagpupuno lamang. Yun naman pong kay Ka Willie, kaibigan po natin yan. Katunayan ako po ay nagpaalam sa kanya bago po natin ginawa ito,” he explained.
Padilla will appear again on the show on Monday.
On the other hand, the controversial host will be having a closed door meeting the ABS-CBN big bosses on May 24. The much-anticipated closed-door meeting of Willie Revillame with ABS-CBN chairman and CEO Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III and president and COO Charo Santos-Concio was originally set on May 13, but it did not push through because Revillame flew to Macau to unwind right after the national elections.
