Watch Pacquiao vs. Cotto Official Weigh-In

On the official weigh-in result, both fighters had manage reach the specified weight for their fight. The pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao weighs 144 pounds while the Puerto Rican champion weight exactly 145 pounds.

The official weigh-in was made yesterday afternoon at Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight is considered as the Fight of the Decade and it is the biggest money-making match of all time. Even bigger than Mayweather ‚Äì Marquez fight last September. The fight ticket has been sold out weeks ago, and there was a standing room only crowd of about 6,500 for Friday’s official weigh in at Grand Garden Arena.

The weigh in had all the drama of a fight night as the pro-Cotto and pro-Pacquiao supporters took turns shouting each other down. Hollywood actor Jeremy Piven introduced both fighters and joked with Pacquiao about his reputation for late night partying.

Few more hours to go before we witness the Fight of the Decade, whatever would be the outcome of the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight it will be surely remembered by the boxing aficionado. pacman51The pride of Philippines Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao worked out for the last time at the IBA Gym on Las Vegas as he prepares for his upcoming fight against the Puerto Rican champion Miguel Cotto. If Pacquiao won this fight, his name will be written in history as the first person to win the seven world title belt in seven weight divisions.

The Pinoy champion currently holds the IBO light-welterweight title, which he won with a dramatic second round knockout of Ricky Hatton last May. Manny has previously held titles at flyweight, super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight. This record is remarkable demonstration for someone who began his professional career fighting at 105 pounds — 40 pounds lighter than the contracted weight for Saturday’s bout.

On his final work-out coach Freddie Roach said, “He’s ready to go.” Roach said there’s no doubt in his mind that Pacquiao would capture his seventh world title and not even an accident will prevent the Filipino from pulling off a major achievement this weekend.
