The camp of controversial actress-host and presidential sister Kris Aquino finally reacted to reports saying Aquino was invited to judge this year’s Miss Universe tilt to be held in Las Vegas.
In a statement made over “Showbiz News Ngayon”, Aquino’s talent manager and close friend Boy Abunda cleared that the actress-host hasn’t received a formal invitation from the Miss Universe organization.
“Sabi niya wala pa siyang natatanggap na imbitasyon, no official invitation at hindi natin alam kung totoo. Kasi nakausap ko si Krissy. Sabi niya up to this day nobody has communicated with her via a written, halimbawa, an emailed invitation. Wala pa tayong natatanggap,” Abunda said.
He also said they have no idea where the news about Aquino becoming a judge of the pageant came from.
Abunda added the information might be true or not but for them what is certain is that they will be happy if Aquino will be part of the competition.
“Hindi natin alam kung may nanloloko lamang o totoo ito. At sabi namin dito sa studio (ng “SNN”) sana ay totoo dahil lahat kami ay sasama,” Abunda said.
It was on Facebook where reports first appeared that Aquino will be going to Las Vegas to judge the biggest beauty pageant on earth on August 23.
The reports also said that Aquino will be joining Ricky Martin, Rafael Nadal, Omorosa Anigualt-Stallworth, Riyo Mori, Sharon Osbourne, and Izaac Mizrahi as judges of Miss Universe 2010.

Arab Nationals will buy Venus Raj for $60,000

The mom of Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Maria Venus Raj recalled when she was still working abroad and she was offered by the Arab nationals that they will buy her baby daughter for $60,000. She said no for she had her own reasons.
In an interview she said, “Inalok ako. Sabi nila bibilhin namin mga $60,000 ‘yong anak mo. Sabi ko, ‘Ang $60,000 makukuha din ‘yon ng anak ko kung dito siya sa akin. Pag-aaralin ko siya kahit kami mahirap lamang,”
Venus Raj was the one who is chosen to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe Pageant and she carry with her the Filipino-Indian beauty who lived a very simple and quiet life in Bato, Camarines Sur before she joined the glamorous world of beauty pageants. (more…)
