Manny Villar Website was Hacked by Kris Aquino

by admin, on Mon, Mar 22 2010 | No Comments

Just recently the official website of Nacionalista Party presidential aspirant Senator Manny Villar was hacked by somebody who called himself/herself Kris Aquino.

In a blog entry dated March 19, someone claiming to be “Kris Aquino” reach Villar for using kids to reach out to the poor. The entry says, ‚ÄúOmigosh kalerky to the max. Imagine, may I gamit pa mga kids sa commercial to make sipsip to the poor. Pano naman kaming mga richhh!‚Äù

The blog entry also asked readers to just vote for Villar closest rival, Kris Aquino‚Äôs brother Sen. Noynoy Aquino. It also provides a link to Noynoy‚Äôs website. And for unspecified reasons, the hackers even “redirected” a portion of the Villar’s site to the official website of Liberal Party‚Äôs presidential candidate Senator Benigno ‚ÄúNoynoy‚Äù Aquino III.

Nacionalista Party removed the entry and issued a statement after a screenshot of the attack was shared in social networks.

“We are extremely disturbed by the hacking of Sen. Manny Villar’s website by persons unknown,” said Gilbert Remulla, Nacionalista Party spokesman and senate candidate.

Remulla said the attack was an “indication of our emergence as a front-runner in the 2010 elections.”

Sarah Geronimo endorses Manny Villar

The Philippine music industry is the newest endorser of Sen. Manny Villar on his bid for the presidency on the forthcoming May 2010 presidential election.

Sarah Geronimo has been named as ambassadress of Katropa, a youth organization organized by Villar’s daughter Camille. Sarah is also the latest singer of Villar’s latest political jingle titled “Naging Mahirap.”

It was rumored that Sarah receives P20 million in exchange for her endorsement. Both Villar and Geronimo’s camp denied the rumor.

Apart from Sarah Geronimo, Villar had earlier gained endorsements from Comedy King Dolphy and popular noontime host Willie Revillame.

Villar, meantime, defended himself from critics who are hitting him for getting celebrity endorsers and spending huge amounts in his campaign. He pointed out that, unlike the LP standard bearer, he has no popular parents nor strong connections in show business.

Villar also denied claims that he is the real candidate of President Arroyo, and that they made a secret pact assuring President Arroyo’s position in Congress.

On the recent survey, Manny Villar is gaining momentum and now closing the gap with the leader Noynoy Aquino on the Presidential bet.
