by Alethea, on Wed, Jul 13 2011 | No Comments

According to Push.ph, Piolo has a sigh of relief now that the issues and doubts of his relationship to KC Concepcion died and toned down. However, he is very aware that the detractors will come again and open this issue to start a hot talk and intrigue.

“At least you feel vindicated. At the same time, nakakasawa na rin, and I don’t want to be negative. Parang there came a point na hindi ka na lang nagbabasa ng kahit ano kasi nakakasakit. So at least ngayon ang tagal-tagal na rin [ng issue]. Nagsawa na rin siguro ang mga nagdududa. Salamat,” said he.

With regards to the issue that KC is having a sweet and romantic affair with her co-star Sam Milby which started in the shooting of the Star Cinema’s “Forever and a Day”. Piolo said that KC and Sam have built a good friendship and they were friends even before he courted the woman.

“Wala kaming problema ni Samuel. He’s always been a brother to me. Even before I got with Kristina, best friends na ang dalawang ‘yan,” he said.

When he was asked that the three of them are used to promote the film, Piolo just shrugged his shoulder and said,
“Pareho naman silang may kakayahan sa box office. Pareho silang magaling na artista. Hindi na nila kailangan ng isang katulad ko para tumulong sa kanila. I believe a movie from Star Cinema doesn’t need anybody else outside the film para makapag-promote lang. They deserve the success of the movie that they’re getting so wala akong kinalaman doon.”

And then he ends the interview with a smile.

KC talks about her Uganda trip

by Alethea, on Sat, Jan 22 2011 | No Comments

Mega daughter KC Concepcion is back in the country after her 3 day trip to Uganda for a UN cause mission. The actress/TV host had been an avid advocate for human rights and is currently United Nations World Food Programme Ambassador Against Hunger. She had been known to scour the country’s poorest region in order to raise awareness on the growing hunger problem among the Filipino but this would be her first time to go out of the country for a mission.

KC embarked on this mission last January 14 and had just returned but from her eventful trip. KC related that she could also compare the poverty in Uganda to the hunger problem in Mindanao. She retells about her adventure describing a certain area in the country to be a “place (that) is so backwards,” and the land “so barren, no water” that locals are left with no choice but “drink cow’s blood.” Aside from the hunger problem, she was also disturbed and alarmed with the rapid increase of malaria cases in the country.

She was anxious about the prevalence of the disease that she had a malaria shots before going on the said trip. Nevertheless, it did not hampered her dedication in bringing awareness to the people worldwide about the ensuing problem of hunger. She appealed to the people to lend help in any way that they can.

Prior to this trip, KC had visited Mindanao – specifically the feared Maguindanao Рtwice and she was moved with how much need the people in there ought to have. She was not at all scared but instead her dedication to her work prodded her on. She merely stated that she’s “just glad that I can help out in whatever capacity.”

Her attention now is on the growing populace of hungry citizens not juts in the Philippines but also around the world.

“I represent the UN not only here in the Philippines but also wherever they think I should go, in this case, Africa. I’ve gone to Mindanao several times and so this for me is also a learning experience never having been to Africa. Conflicts all over the world result in the same kind of suffering and pain for the affected populations. We share a common predicament as human beings whether in Mindanao or Uganda. We go all over to draw as much attention to these conflicts and the efforts of the UN.

As ambassador of the WFP, KC previously launched an online auction for the benefit of children, particularly in tension-affected areas in Mindanao called “KC’s Closet.”

The controversy behind KC’s absence in Papa P’s bday at ASAP

by yenjam, on Thu, Jan 13 2011 | No Comments

It was a very special birthday celebration last January 12, of popular hunk idol of ABS-CBN, debonair Piolo Pascual. All women cannot help but be awed of this handsome actor when they saw him. The pre- celebration of his birthday at ASAP’s previous episode was very controversial, because his humored girlfriend actress, KC was not there to celebrate it with him. Many were actually wondering, why she was not visible on that very special event of Piolo’s birthday. Rumors were circulating, that lovely KC and the actor are both having a break up that is why. All the fans were very enthusiastic and curious to see their idol’s supposed girlfriend, to be with Piolo to celebrate it with him. Because of that, the fans were all dismayed of KC’s absence. Some intrigeras and tsismosas even made stories that Piolo made her cry of the breakup made through text messaging only. My! Can anybody nowadays write intellectually regarding baseless intrigues? The same old cliché, it earns already, di ba? Funny though it seems, but for Christ’s sake, do not make stories just to make an issue.

We all knew of KC, she is a daughter that is well brought-up by her megastar mom, Sharon Cuneta. Very respectable and decent, KC Concepcion will certainly not do that, “Ganyan ba ka cheap ang tingin ng ibang reporter kay KC? Rumespeto naman kayo no!” All people who loved KC so much said that KC is very much intelligent and surely, she will not be treated that way with a man like Piolo. Please try to think of that, do not assumed, even though you are not sure of something. Well, that is the common attitude to a person who is born tsismosa. When people tend to be idle, they certainly make an issue to keep them busy, right.

Versatile actress, Kassandra Concepcion otherwise called KC, made it clear once and for all saying, “I really intended to choose not to be there on that birthday celebration of Papa P in ASAP because I want to give a special bonding moment for Piolo and his son Iñigo on this presentation.” The famous young actress revealed too, that she knows how Iñigo feels because I myself experienced the same way when I was young.

Have you heard about the issue surrounding Kristina Cassandra Concepcion known as KC and the hunk Piolo Pascual?

Hunk actor Piolo Pascual has ironed things out with Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her daughter, young actress KC Concepcion.

In a press conference for Pascual’s latest endorsement, Quickchow, the actor admitted that he personally talked to Cuneta to resolve a controversy involving his 13-year-old son I√±igo.

‚ÄúSiguro, as a mom, she just really wants me to say my piece about the issue and naitawid naman. Okay na I visited her (Cuneta) last Sunday in her dressing room,” Pascual said.

The actor added he felt “relieved” after his heart-to-heart talk with the megastar.

“Napakaliit ng industriya natin and she’s not the person na puwede mong baliwalain. She’s the mom of KC. She’s the megastar,” said Pascual.

Pascual, a single dad, has publicly admitted that he is wooing Concepcion.

Iñigo, Pascual’s only son, recently got involved in a controversy after pranksters used his name and pretended to be him on Twitter to attack Concepcion. Concepcion was called nasty stuff in the same Twitter account.

Cuneta did not take this sitting down.

In his formal statement, however, Pascual clarified that his son has never maintained a Twitter account, and that Iñigo’s Facebook page had been hacked. He also apologized to the mother and daughter.

To prove that everything is now okay between him and Cuneta, Pascual bared that he will be part of the megastar’s upcoming concert dubbed as “Sharon Cuneta: Mega Drama concert” at the Araneta Coliseum on August 7.

Will the two be out of this soon? We’ll all find out!

Piolo asks for apology from KC

by admin, on Sun, Jul 25 2010 | No Comments

Hunk actor Piolo Pascual has apologized to KC Concepcion in connection with a controversy involving Pascual’s 13-year-old son, Iñigo.

In a statement sent to “The Buzz,” Pascual denied that his son was using Twitter to “malign” Concepcion in the Internet. Pascual pointed out that Iñigo does not own a Twitter account, and that the minor’s Facebook page has been hacked.

“He never texted anybody to malign Kristina (Concepcion). He also receives prank calls from different people even while in the States. He has told me that there are people harassing him and using his name to harass other people as well through Internet,” the statement read.

Concepcion is being romantically linked to the actor since they teamed up in the Filipino adaptation of Korean telenovela “Lovers in Paris.” The actor also admitted in public that he is courting Concepcion, who is the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and first husband Gabby Concepcion.

According to tabloid reports, Iñigo was purportedly opposed to the rumored budding romance between his father and the young actress. Iñigo, who is studying in the United States, would reportedly write negative stuff about Concepcion in his Twitter account.

Pascual called on those behind the prank to stop using his son’s name “to ruin relationships.”

“Please refrain from doing so for we may seek legal counsel. My son is still a minor and private individual. I’d like to apologize to Kristina and her family. Thank you for standing by me through this situation. I appreciate your support and maturity in handling this matter. Again my apologies,” Pascual said.

Sharon defends KC

Cuneta has also broken her silence on the issue.

The megastar defended her daughter from the controversy. She branded the reports “unfair” as she admitted that the issue has hurt her family.

“Disenteng bata si KC tsaka hindi sila opisyal ni Piolo pero matagal na silang nagkikita…. pero sana tantanan na nila ang anak ko,” she said.

She said she is proud of the fact that Concepcion was raised without harboring ill feelings toward anyone.

“Alam ko matagal ng hiwalay si Piolo at mother noong bata. Ayokong mag-comment sa kanila kasi hindi ko alam ang pagpapalaki sa kanya, sabihin ko na lang ‘yong palaki ko sa anak ko… I specifically told her (Concepcion) dahil pupunta siya for the first time sa papa niya, bagong kasal ang papa niya kay Jenny (Syquia), sabi ko, ‘Be respectful,’” she said.

“And I was so proud. I wasn’t expecting it. Jenny wrote her a letter after that day saying she was happy having met KC and to have seen that she was raised wonderfully, that she had no bitterness,” she added.

Hurting

The young actress was also emotional when she addressed the issue on “The Buzz” Sunday. Concepcion burst into tears as she admitted that the write-ups had hurt her.

She also noted that it is impossible for Pascual’s son to write negative stuff about her in the Internet since the actor “is a very good father.” She added that Iñigo was nice to her when they met.

“Ginagawa niya ang lahat to be the man that his son needs kasi lumaki si PJ (Pascual) na walang tatay so gusto ni Piolo maging mabuting ama sa anak niya,” she said.

She added: “Thank you Iñigo sa mga panahon na nagkita tayo and you were nice to me. ‘Yon ang pinaghahawakan ko, ‘yong kabaitan niya noong nagkita kami.”

She said it is possible that someone is trying to ruin the relationship between father and son. She said the same thing happened to her and her father once.

She echoed Pascual’s appeal to stop using the child for their personal agenda.

She, however, said that if Iñigo indeed disliked her, she totally understands him, saying she was in his position once.

“Hindi pa confirmed kung anak niya ang nagsulat, naiintindihan ko si Iñigo kung siya talaga ‘yon dahil ako po ‘yong batang ‘yon noong bata ako… siyempre mahirap naman ‘yong mahal na mahal mo ang mga magulang mo, mahirap makitang magkahiwalay sila and mahirap i-accept kung sino man ang napapalapit sa mga magulang mo,” she said.

Concepcion, meantime, thanked her mom for teaching her not to hold any grudge while she was growing up.

This is another issue that surrounds KC nowadays. Is there some more in the next few days, we’ll see.
