One of the most sought young actress nowadays, is Kim Chiu who hails from Cebu. After being crowned as the winner of the said show, many offers came and made her famous both in TV and movies. Pinoy Big Brother is actually a reality show, and this is where the Kim-Gerard love team started. The two teenage idols have become close when they were both teamed-up inside the house. Unknown to all viewers, the young lad from General Santos City has made the charming lass from Cebu shed tears several times because of Kim’s naivety. Nevertheless, this kind of character made Kim so popular to the young viewers and gain popularity in PBB teen edition. With their team up, they were very well in demand abroad thus; series of shows in different parts of the world have them perform on their Heartthrobs series this year.
The very popular ABS-CBN young star was very fortunate of her showbiz career because her mother studio is going to offer her a break project of teaming her up with the famous martial arts superstar and very wholesome Jackie Chan. With that, she can go International now. The young star was so happy and excited on the coming possibility of being with Jackie Chan on a movie. The Network’s public relation head of Star Magic, Thess Gubi, has made confirmation that it was the personal choice of the Superstar that Kim Chiu will be his film partner for the said project after seeing the photo of the actress. Eventually, they started to shoot with a few scene scenes, but were later postponed.
“This is my greatest chance of a lifetime as an actress,” Kim shared. The Cebuana idol was so enthusiastic to do a movie with Chan because this is her break to be viewed worldwide and becomes famous abroad too. All actors like her are aspiring to be a star in the international arena and luckily, she was given the biggest break among all other young star her age. She was so grateful of her Kapamilya, ABS-CBN, her official network that make it possible for her. Her fans are all hoping that the fulfillment of their idol’s dream will come to reality.

Asian action star Jackie Chan expressed grief over the tragic Quirino Grandstand hostage drama that killed several of his compatriots.
In his Twitter account, Chan said he heard about “the terrible news” upon returning to Hong Kong from Korea.
“I come back to hk & I hear terrible news about what happened in filippines [sic]. A lot of things don’t happen to your own country you don’t pay attention,” Chan said in his Twitter page.
Chan noted the hostage taking could have happened elsewhere but it was heartbreaking that it had to happen to Hong Kong citizens.
“This kind of things always happen around the world [sic]. It happened to hk’s people, the whole hk is talking about it. It’s really sad,” Chan said.
Chan also acknowledged that authorities were in a difficult position during the hostage crisis.
“If they killed the guy sooner, they will say why not negotiate first? If they negotiate first, they ask why not kill the guy sooner? So sad,” he said.
On Monday, Rolando Mendoza, a disgruntled ex-policeman took hostage a busload of Hong Kong tourists.
The day-long crisis ended after police killed Mendoza.
Despite reports of discrimination against Filipinos in Hong Kong, Chan also assured that his country won’t encourage hate.
“HK is a nation built by a lot of different people..don’t worry! We do not hate!” said Chan. “Humans should be united and not kill or hate each other.”
Chan, a native of Hong Kong, starred in several Hollywood films, including blockbuster “The Karate Kid.”
Chan also visited the country August 2006 and met with representatives from the Philippine National Red Cross, UNAIDS, and World Wildlife Fund.
