Another great talent from the Philippines excelled of her talent, and was among the top 20 in American Idol Season 10. Thailorei Lising, “Thai” Megia is a 15-year-old pinay who was one of the lucky contenders of the famous FOX talent show, American Idol. She showed confidence as she sings and astounded the three jurors, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson with her version of “Chasing Pavements” by Adele.
However, when she heard of the age reduction, from 16, down to 15 years old, she decided to auditioned, instead of planning to audition next year. Instantly, the young student from Mountain House, California high School booked a flight and a hotel and flew directly to try out in Wisconsin. She could not wait any longer, she was so enthusiastic to join American Idol, although there was a schedule in California, she cannot take the patience to wait.
When it was her turn to show her prowess in singing, she just walked straight inside with eagerness and introduced herself, Lopez commented that she had a name of a movie star, Megia. After her performance, Lopez said, “I love you, you are the total package.” Tyler, on the other hand, remarked that she thought that Megia’s voice has character and she loves her voice. The 15-year-old Pinay, achieved three votes from the judges will be heading for Hollywood. This amazing girl has been one of the semi-finalists in America’s Got Talent in 2009. This is a famous talent show also on NBC.
Nothing can stop the young girl’s dream to fulfill, with such determination and great talent she would certainly go a long way. “ThaiMegia” as her fans called her, posted a message on her MySpace page: “…I do believe that every person has its special purpose in life that is why we ambitioned to seek for it. The possibilities of tomorrow go beyond measure, but come what may: this doubtful absolution keeps me well unprepared. Still aspires because possibilities are endless.
