The tandem of Vic Sotto and Senator Bong Revilla sure made it to a home run. The much anticipated film which combines two gigantic names in the making of fantasy films raked in 90 million pesos in its first day alone of showing. Among all other entries is the 36th Metro manila Filmfest, it is considered as the top grosser.

The premiere itself was thronged with millions of fans. Senator Bong and Bossing Vic greeted and thanked the fans during the said premiere in SM Megamall during Christmas Day. Along with the main casts is the million maker director behind the much successful film, Tony Reyes. Leading ladies, Gwen Zamora and Sam Pinto are also present to extend invitation for the fans to watch their movie. The movie is a hit in the making because of the big celebrity names that glitz the movie. Included in the cast are equally famous talented actors Bing Loyzaga, Aiza Seguerra as Aiza Kabisote, Oyo Sotto, Ruby Rodriguez, Jillian Ward, Aubrey Miles, Joey de Leon and Rufa Mae Quinto.

The secret behind the acclaimed movie is the combination of two iconic fantasy series into one. The movie before was seen as head ache inducing plan knowing that both big names in the movie industry which presumably requires a hefty paycheck is going to star in one major film. Before it was just an illustrious and ambitious endeavour. Yet, in the end, it all paid off. For both Vic and Bong, the negotiation on their fee went about smoothly. Probably because both of them are eagerly awaiting for this chance.

Revilla shares that everything was fair and they never had any arguments: “We had the same number of scenes and shared the production costs. We had no disagreements.”

“Dream come true na magsama kami dahil matagal ng pinaplano ito pero ngayon lang natuloy,” added the young senator.

Bossing Vic Sotto is also very enthusiastic with their tandem. Last year, the two starred on their own movies and had a friendly competition on the box office. Today, they merged as one united under one goal of making MMFF a successful one. – photo courtesy to GMA
