It is definitely time for peace!

It is one of the few trending subjects on our headlines today. Every beauty pageant contender would always retort for world peace. Finally, some of us has determined to wind-up the enduring collision of opposing forces.

The Aquino administration has commendably ended the four-decade conflict with our Moslem brothers by coming into an agreement with the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) by means of the Bangsamoro peace deal. With the help of Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as intercessor of peace, MILF has agreed with the government to establish a new ministerial regime in Mindanao replacing the ARMM (Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao). The framework agreement coupled with the participation of a monitoring party is regarded as the recipe for a successful peace treaty.

MILF soldiers will soon be demobilized and will seek a serene life as civilians. MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front) on the other hand, did not support the Bangsamoro decree yet they gave out a guarantee not to go to war despite their opposition.

The showbiz world has always been rocked several times by these  two iconic TV hosts. The legendary Joey de Leon has always been at word war with the slick Willie Revillame.

Countless times are the two in conflict. Throwing hordes of adverse assertions and seeking to outwit one another.

But on Joey’s birthday, a heartwarming spectacle wowed the viewers of Startalk. Willie finally came up on live TV to acknowledge the birthday boy in person.

Hugs and grateful exchange of words were seen as each one apologized for the things they have done in the past while commending each other for the jobs . One of the few things one should never miss while watching television.

I hope that the recent developments that occurred between these two separate episodes of peace can also happen to all of us. Being at peace nowadays is a rare gem we can assimilate.
