Typhoon Ondoy may have bought a terrible damage to our country but it also awakens the “bayanihan” spirit of Filipino’s all around the world.  Despite of the devastation it brought, typhoon Ondoy leaves something beautiful and inspiring.  It makes us, unite as one nation once again.  Every Filipinos all around the world have taken an effort to contribute and help in any ways that they can.

Pinoys galvanized together in an instant fashion, thanks to modern technologies.  Take the case of Lea Salonga’s special fund-raising performance for the tropical storm victims on Monday, Oct. 12, 7:30 p.m. at The Philippine Center’s Kalayaan Hall located at 556 Fifth Avenue in New York City. Lea, her friend Victor Lirio, the good folks of the Ayala Foundation USA and the Philippine Consulate General were able to organize the event in less than 24 hours!

Lea was scheduled to be in US from this October for series of concerts, with her greatest desire to help the victim of typhoon, they set a special fund-raising performance with the help of Ayala Foundation USA and the Philippine Consulate General.
