Many of us have thought that the judgment will take longer than expected, yet a 45-month duration has successfully concluded the court case. A lot of things have transpired during this historic event making an essential experience for everyone in the government and for the rest of the nation.
Though we were a lot entertained with the heightened episodes as the court proceedings reached its last leg, many are still pondering. So the chief justice was impeached, what to do now?
The government is up until this moment, diligent to find us the next commendable head to run the judiciary branch. Speculations suggest that the next chief justice could come out of the current roster of the Supreme Court, which most professional counsels have expressed that doing so is unorthodox yet plausible.
Other than scrutinizing every detail for the eligibility of the succeeding chief justice, it has awakened the awareness of the public about the laws of state and somehow enlightened us that many of our public servants are possible to have the same misgivings as that of the ejected Corona. The impeachment should have marked and served as a stepping stone for the search for truth and honesty among the people in the government as we are all aware that our nation’s administration has contributed to the world’s corruption. I hope it is just not another reason to keep our current leader’s ratings high and nothing more than just good publicity. I suppose we had enough of the fault-finding and time to keep up with the needs of the people.
Soon a new chief justice will take the seat but for the majority of the public, a systematic and honest public organization is what we always hope for. We can impeach everyone but when will it ever stop?
