A Blissful Wedding on the other side of the Mountain

courtesy of ianarce.blogspot.comThere’s nothing better to do this Love month but to attend a matrimonial celebration of two of my good friends, Josh Lacsamana and Joy Suarez at Tagaytay Highlands on the 4th of February, 2012.

The wedding ceremony took place in the serene Madre de Dios Chapel at the Midlands while the reception was held in Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.

Their wedding was one of the most memorable events I have ever been to. Not because of the couple’s grandiose setup, delectable menu or fashionable dress-up but due to the fact that their wedding took place on a never-before-seen location (for most of its attendees even including the priest who also jokingly thanked the couple for giving him this opportunity). As what the reverend father who aided in tying the knot said, it is one recreational trip for all of who took part and witnessed the celebration.

We were all mesmerized with all the glory of the luscious greens, rolling hills, endless slopes and the breeze of cold but clean mountain air as we traverse the mountain side. This side of Tagaytay is not always exposed to people who frequent the province- one thing that will keep you back to resort and seek refuge from the daily hustle and bustle in the Metro.

Several times did I visit Tagaytay but never was I ever to set foot on this side of the mountain. Being there is more than enough to experience a tranquil moment with nature. Also for a moment Tagaytay has once enticed me to go back and explore the remainder of what’s needed to discovered.

Despite the slight discomfort in wearing a formal outfit throughout the night (complete with necktie that I had to watch online how to do!), I was instantly comforted by the beauty of the love bird’s preferred ceremonial stage.

I thank the couple for giving me and my wife a chance to witness not only their bountiful wedding ceremony but to appreciate the beauty of Tagaytay’s landscape. Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Josh Lacsamana!
