courtesy of theboxhouston.comThe world was shocked with the news that Paul Walker (the guy behind the top grossing The Fast and the Furious franchise) died of a car crash in California. The actor was reported to have left the fund raiser event for typhoon Haiyan victims when the vehicle (Porsche GT Carrera) he’s into faced a terrible accident.

TMZ’s raw footage of the accident showing the vehicle on fire while bystanders try to put out the flames went viral.

While many of his fellow actors shared despair on Paul’s death, the Filipinos also showed their love on one of the most respected foreign artists. His performance as Brian O’ Connor in the Fast and the Furious series has enticed many Pinoy car lovers to watch his films and even garnered more car enthusiasts in the process.

His untimely death was of course a puzzle for many. I, one who loved his movies, was saddened with the news. Definitely, the F&F franchise won’t be the same without the generous actor.

The burned down Porsche was driven by his friend and experienced race car driver Roger Rodas. The two were known to be good friends and skilled race car drivers.  It is also worth mentioning that they were the founders of ROWW (Reach Out World Wide).

We humbly thank you Paul for touching our lives with your movies. We laud you for your love of our country and showing your support to the victims of tragedies not only in the Philippines but also worldwide.
