Robin Padilla Say His Goodbye To Wowowee

After two weeks of being the host of the noon time show Wowowee, Robin Padilla the “Idol” say goodbye to the fans of the show and to his co-host.
“Isang napakalaking karangalan po ang maging bahagi ng Wowowee. Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa ABS-CBN, sa staff, maraming salamat sa inyo. Sa mga dancers, musicians, technicians, sa guards, sa ating crowd control, at siyempre po sa inyong lahat,” Padilla said.
“Hindi ko po makakalimutan sa buong buhay ko ang mga naganap sa entabladong ito–kalungkutan kasayahan, kagalingan. Lahat lahat po nandito sa puso ko. Naging iisang tunay na pamilya po tayo,” he added.


“Tuwing lumalabas po ako (dito), hindi po ako host, hindi ako isang singer, hindi ako isang dancer. Isa akong Pilipinong kalatulad niyo, ‘Robin Hood’ po ang pangalan.”
With is short stint help, the Wowowee’s ratings boost, and despite of the criticisms of some people to him as a host, Robin prove he got what it takes to be the Idol.

Aquino Administration, No Recycling of Cabinet Members

Upon sitting in the new position as the President of the Philippines, Noynoy Aquino was being advice by some of his colleagues not to recycle people to be a part of his cabinet. Senator Edgardo Angara advised Aquino to pick the members of his government well, particularly those he would appoint to revenue collecting agencies and not to recycle the former government officials for his cabinet.

But Angara refused to name those people Aquino should not appoint. “Basta nanggaling na sila dun. He should pick well. Not just those off the street. Ayokong magpangalan ng specific,” he said.
Angara said that the new administration should be en minded about the implementation of the new taxes. (more…)

The Super Nanay’s of Panitan, Capiz

The proud mothers in the third class municipality of Panitan, Capiz are learning how to be Super Nanays, (super mom) through the efforts of the Department of Health (DoH) they aim to boost its FOURmula One (F1) Health Program in the province, with the help from the assistance of the European Union to improve the health system in poor barangays.

The super nanay‚Äô focused on giving nutrition as a means of giving a strong foundation to the health of the whole family. The course defined nutrition in practical terms, identifying foods and substances affordable and readily available in the community, then progressed into a cooking demonstration of nutritious, flavorful, and affordable recipes, using native ingredients. The cooks gave a creative twist to common ingredients, showing how nutritious food can be tasty as well. There are about 40 mothers participated in this activity. (more…)

Charice Pempengco will sing on Glee?

The Philippine singer Charice Pempengco denied the reports and rumors that she is going to be part of “Glee” the hit musical series in US. To further know it, it is an American musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States. It focuses on a high school glee club called “New Directions”, at the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio.


Charice said in her tweeter: “I just want to let you all know that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee… How I wish! Haha.‚Äù “LOL. Rumors!!! I am not going to be on Glee..Haha…That’s really funny. I didn’t know about the Glee (role). Hahaha, until I saw Perez’s blog. This is really confusing.”


“Okay, erase it! No Charice on Glee. aryt? hahaha!,” Charice said.
Charice mother also clarify that: The rumors that Charice appears on GLEE show is not true, I talked to Ms Grace Mendoza, Charice’s handler, she had no idea.”

2,160 refugees return to Pagatin town in Maguindanao

The Union of Catholic Asian News reported on Wednesday that the refugees are leaving in the evacuation centers in Datu Odin Sinsuat and Datu Piang in Maguindanao. And the 2,160 refugees from 360 families that were forced to flee in their homes due to fighting between soldiers and a faction of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and government are finally going home.


They can safely return to their homes in Pagatin town in Maguindanao without the fear of bombs and bullets to silently strike them. Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Executive Secretary Naguib Sinarimbo said this transfer is “just the beginning” of a process to bring all evacuees back to normal life.


30 Christian and Muslim team volunteers, organized by Oblates of Mary Immaculate Father Eduardo Vasquez, collected food and supplies from parishioners and neighbors to sustain the evacuees as they return. They also received supplies bought with donations from Mindanao Emergency Response Network (MERN) and well wishers from the United Kingdom, the same report said.


The United Nations Act for Peace (UNAFP) has committed to build 150 new core shelters and restore a health center at the refugees’ destination, while relief groups Mindanao Tulong Bakwit and MERN are helping to construct water pump and toilet facilities.
