In the recent survey conducted by the Hong Kong-based Political & Economic Risk Consultancy showed that the Philippines is the fourth most corrupt of 16 major Asia-Pacific investment destinations.
Based on the survey which was released last Monday, Philippines score a rating of 8.06 on the scale of 0 to 10. In which zero is the best possible score and the 10 is the lowest possible rating.

The former spy master who is known as the “emperor” is appointed as the new chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Lieutenant General Delfin N. Bangit hails from San Mateo, Rizal and a member of the Philippine Military Academy "Makatarungan" Class of 1978.

The big Daddy of all dotcoms, Google.com announced that they had bought the Picnik.com. Picnik is a website that allows users to edit and store photos online. The site allows users to import photos from other services such as Picasa, Flickr, and Facebook.
In a blog post Picnik said it had 20 employees and receives millions of visitors a month. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
